Srivari Navarathri Brahmotsavam also in Ekantham in view of Fresh Guidlines from Centre



Tirumala, 13 Oct. 20: Considering the widespread threat of pandemic COVID-19 across the country in and keeping in view the health safety and security of devotees, TTD has decided to conduct the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams scheduled from October 16 to 24 also in Ekantham this year.

 

A decision to this effect was taken during a detailed review meeting held by the TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy at his chambers in the TTD administrative Building in which District Collector Sri Bharat Narayan Gupta, TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, DIG Sri Kranti Rana Tata, TTD JEO Sri P Basanth Kumar and CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti participated.

 

Earlier the TTD had announced on October 1 that vahana sevas of Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams will be conducted in the Mada streets. However, in view of fresh Covid guidelines issued recently by the union Health and family welfare ministry, stipulated that none of religious or cultural utsavams should have any congregation of more than 200 persons even conducted outside.

 

This direction had come in background of several festivals across country during October-December season with chances of big gatherings which would favour further spike in Covid-19. 

 

In view of the new Covid guidelines the of TTD had reviewed its earlier decision and decided to conduct the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams also in Ekantham inside the Srivari temple akin to annual Brahmotsvams which were held during last month.

 

All vahana sevas will be observed at the Kalyanotsava mandapam in Srivari temple. Brahmotsavam rituals and utsavas will be observed as per Agama traditions but inside Srivari temple in Ekantam.

 

The SVBC will give live feed of all events while the Public Relations department of TTD will issue Press releases and photos of all events and vahana sevas daily for benefit of devotees across the globe.
