Decision on Srivari Saare Procession in Two Days- TTD Eo




Tirupati, 2 Nov. 20: TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said on Monday that a final decision on the Srivari sare procession due on November 20, as part of Sri Padmavati Ammavari Brahmotsavam will be announced in a day or two.

 

It is a tradition to take out a procession of Srivari sare from Alipiri to Tiruchanoor temple of Sri Padmavati on the day of Panchami thirtha utsava. The sare is a presentation of Srivari temple to Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple during annual Brahmotsavam.

 

TTD EO along with other senior officials inspected the route of procession on Monday evening.

 

Thereafter he called the Tirumala pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyarswamy and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyarswamy to consult on Vahana sevas and other issues of Sri Padmavati Ammavari Brahmotsavam.

 

Speaking to media later TTD EO said Ammavari Brahmotsavam would be conducted in consonance with Agama traditions and as per COVID-19 guidelines.

 

He said the Tirumala pontiffs had advised to choose a short distance for saree procession. A procession route in consultation with Tirupati Urban will be formulated and again consent of Tirumala pontiffs taken.

 

TTD JEOs Sri P Basant Kumar and Smt Sada Bhargavi, Urban SP Sri Ramesh Reddy, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, FA&CAO Sri Balaji, Chief Engineer Sri Ramesh Reddy were present.
