First of It's Kind Knee Replacement Operation at BIRRD - Dr Madanmohan Reddy

                         

Tirupati, 20 Nov. 20: Unique knee replacement operation, first of its kind, has been carried out in BIRRD ortho hospital said Honourary Director Dr Madanmohan Reddy.

 

Successfully carried out on a 48-year-old patient Sujata Kurnool who had a twisted knees and unable to walk. Disclosing the operation details to media in the Hospital on Friday along with his team comprising of Dr Girija, Dr Naveen and Dr Chaitanya, he said the woman was suffering from severe knee pains from the last three years. On June 6 we did right knee operation and on October 30 the left which lasted for nearly four hours each and now she could able to walk without any pain, he added.

 

The BIRRD Chief appreciated the work of his team of doctors who successfully executed the advanced Pain Management technique to carry out the operation on the lady without loss of much blood in an innovative manner.

 

Smt Sujata also thanked the team of doctors terming them as her Life Saviours and Real Gods. I never thought I will walk again and lead a normal life. It's like a rebirth to me and I whole-heatedly thank all the doctors for the same, she reiterated.
