Karthika Auspicious for Both Shiva Kesava Smarana

 Tirumala, 13 Nov. 20: The Agama pundits of Srivari temple advocated that the holy month of Karthika is equally important for both Sri Maha Vishnu as well as Mahadeva and chanting their names all through the month yields fruitful results.

 

Quoting references from Naradiya, Skanda and Padma Puranas they said in a joint statement on Friday that lores and glory of Maha Vishnu was more resplendent in the Karthika Mahatya in all the legends.

 

The signatories included Srivari temple Chief priest and Agama Adviser Sri Venugopala Dikshitulu, Sri Krishna Sheshachala Dikshitulu, Vaikhanasa Agama Advisers Sri Sundaravadanacharyulu, Sri Rangacharyulu and Rani Sadashivamurty from National Sanskrit University.

 

HIGHLIGHTS OF THEIR AVERMENTS WERE

 

·      TTD conducted Sri Srinivasa Veda mantra Arogya japa yagam from March 16-25 with Veda pundits from all over country seeking blessings of Sri Venkateswara for saving humanity from pandemic Covid.

 

·      Dharmagiri Veda Vijnana peetham, Tirumala Nada Niranjanam platform and Srivari temple had become venues for significant spiritual programs like Dhanvanthri Maha yagam, Yogavashista Visoochika Maha Mantra parayanams, paramathmikopanishad parayanams etc.

 

·      Other unique programs like Sundarakanda, Virat parvam. Bhagavad-Gita parayanams are still continued.

 

·      As an outcome of TTD spiritual efforts and blessings of Sri Venkateswara, corona virus impact had reduced and after 227 days devotees were able to get blessings of Sri Malayappa on the Mada streets.

 

·      Special programs like Aradhana of Sri Mahavishnu will.be taken up by TTD at the Vasanta Mandapam from November 19 till December 13.

 

·      Special pujas for Lord Siva like Rudrabhisekam will be observed at the SV Veda University and also at Sri Kapileswara temple in Tirupati.

 

 

·      TTD has plans to conduct Koti Deepotsavam at the Parade Grounds of TTD administrative buildings on November 29 evening between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

 

·      The objective of these programs is to spread the significance of Mahavishnu as ensembled in puranas and to enlist youth in corona eradication efforts.

 

·      The SVBC is providing live telecast of these programs for benefit of devotees either participation or practising.

 

·      TTD is continuing the Karthika programs and festivals like Pedda Sesha vahana seva on the day of Nagula Chaviti festival, Karthika Deepotsavam, Kaisika Dwadasi, Karthika vanabhojanam and Abhisekam for Bedi Anjaneya on the last Sunday of Karthika month.
