Konda Gorre` – India’s first Wilderness Park with a focus on total inclusivity opened

Hyderabad’s only such Wilderness Park with an accent on Biodiversity Conservation, Rewilding and a stated objective to be focused on total inclusivity was opened to genuine nature lovers and adventure-seeking walkers. Sri. P. Raghuveer, IFS, VC&MD, TSFDC inaugurated it.

TSFDC has developed the Konda Gorre` Wilderness Park at Lalgadi Malakpet, Near to ORR on Karimnagar Highway, with an accent on sustainability and biodiversity conservation and already planted over 10,000 saplings (mostly forest species). Here forest area is about 2,635 acres. In which small portion has developed as urban forest park. Total area will be protected with fencing. And the urban park named after Konda Gorre (Chowsigha).

The Konda Gorre` Wilderness Park is part of the overall Konda Gorre` rewilding project being undertaken by TSFDC, under which cycling tracks, jogging paths, nature trails, green cafes, dormitories, campsites, etc are going to be developed in a phased manner.

The Konda Gorre` brand identity was unveiled on the occasion and T shirts and Caps with the Konda Gorre` branding were distributed as mementoes to the attendees . The programme ended with a lovely felicitation for Sri. P. Raghuveer, IFS, who is retiring on November month end as the VC&MD, TSFDC as a token of gratitude by all the TSFDC staff present at the venue. The programme also included a few companies like Betty Bee's, Happy Bar, Pranav Enterprises Natural & Organic Produce and NGOs like Smaran, Sankalptharu, and Swayamkrushi that put up stalls of their products /services. and wares along with samples for attendees.






The event was well attended by nature lovers, local villagers, members of some organizations interested in partnering with the project, and others. The honorable guests and attendees included Sri.
