Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel Employee Terminated

Tirupati, 11 Nov  20: The Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel management (TTD) terminated one of it's employees on Wednesday,  after his alleged involvement in forwarding a porn site link to a devotee has been proved.

According to CEO SVBC, the terminated employee discharges duty as an Office Subordinate (OSO-Attender). Following a complaint forwarded by a devotee Sri Venkata Krishna who sought some details regarding "Shatamanam Bhavati", a programme in SVBC, he received a porn site link as a reply from the said employee through sb@svbcttd.org. The devotee brought the same to the notice of the Chairman and TTD EO for immediate action.

The TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy and EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy immediately directed for a detailed enquiry.

A team consisting 25 software engineers carried out Computer Security Audit in SVBC and a Cyber Cell team has been constituted. During the Vigilance enquiry it was found that a few more employees are also involved in such willful, indecent conduct. If proved guilty, action will be initiated on those employees too.

Meanwhile, the SVBC attender was terminated with immediate effect after he was proved guilty behind forwarding the porn site link to the devotee.

To protect and safeguard the reputation of SVBC some important decisions have been taken.

Henceforth all the computers in SVBC will function under the supervision of TTD IT Wing and each computer will be allotted a password for security purposes. It has also been decided to bring SVBC under the supervisory control of TTD Vigilance.
