TTD Chairman Inspects Electrical Buses

Tirumala, 7 Nov. 20: TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Saturday inspected the eco-friendly Electrical RTC bus operation at Tirumala on the second day of its trial run.


The RTC officials explained the advantage and convenience of operating the electric buses on the ghat roads to the Chairman.


Speaking to reporters the TTD Chairman said that the Bangalore based M/s Veer Vahan Udyog Pvt ltd was engaged by TTD to convert the diesel buses into electric buses. As part of the trial runs, three trips of new electric buses are being operated every day between Tirupati and Tirumala on the ghat roads. For one electrical charge, the buses would run for nearly 170 kms. The Chairman also travelled on the electrical bus from his camp office in Tirumala up to the Annamaiah Bhavan.


RTC Regional Manager Sri Chengal Reddy, CMEs Sri Narasimhulu, Sri Srinivas and Sri Chandrasekhar were also present.
