TTD Gets License to Sell Fertilisers made from Wastes - TTD Eo















Tirumala, 4 Nov. 20: TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said on Wednesday that TTD has successfully procured a license for auction cum sale of fertilisers produced from garbage wastes matter collected in Tirumala.

 

Speaking to media persons after his extensive inspection of both solid and liquid waste management plants at Tirumala, TTD EO said 6,000 tons of fertilisers made from decomposed garbage was ready for auction-sale.

 

Earlier accompanied by the Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy the TTD EO inspected the Anna Prasadam potu and Laddu Prasadam potu at Srivari temple, Boondi potu behind Srivari temple, Sannidhanam rest house, and Ashwini hospital, solid and liquid waste management centres.

 

He said the entire solid and wet waste of Tirumala was packed and transformed into ready to use fertilisers.

 

TTD EO said TTD has invited suggestions from experts on recycling of both liquid and solid wastes. He said drain waters of Tirumala are already used for gardening purposes and studies are now underway for its use in non-drinking purposes like toilets etc.

 

He has instructed engineering officials to explore options for use of drain waters so as to reduce water demand in Tirumala.

 

He enquired about security and vigilance arrangements at the Potu in Srivari temple He gave several instructions to engineering staff after inspecting the ongoing developments works at Boondi potu.

 

At the Sannidhanam rest house, he reviewed the sanitisation of rooms and directed officials to promote greenery and landscape in the region.

   

He also visited the Ashwini hospital were reviewed the doctor's services patients, daily OPs and emergency cases etc. He also visited the Apollo cardiology treatment Centre, its super speciality equipment’s, and emergency services to patients etc.

 

Later he visited the solid waste management plant at Kakulakonda region and was briefed by officials as to how fertiliser was made from wastes and the precautionary steps taken.

 

He also inspected the Liquid waste management plant located near the Kalyana Vedika and reviewed the safety measures etc.

 

CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, CE Sri Ramesh Reddy, SE-2 Sri Nageswar Rao, Health officer Dr RR Reddy, VGO Sri Manohar, CMO Dr Narmada were present.
