Tirupati, 30 Nov. 20: The temple city of Tirupati reverberated to the rhythmic vibrations of mantras rendered by the vedic scholars while the Paraded Grounds of TTD illuminated with the lights emanating from ghee lit lamps lit by hundreds of women devotees under the natural flash of full moon.
The Karthika Maha Deepotsavam programme organized by TTD in Tirupati received huge response from devotees as millions and millions witnessed the fete live on SVBC.
HH Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamy of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham delivered religious discourse on the celestial occasion.
After the rendition of community Vishnu Sahasra Nama Parayanam, Sri Maha Lakshmi Shodasa Puja performed. During his religious discourse the Kanchi seer said the event marked Siva Kesava Abedham in the holy month of Karthika. He also elaborated on the importance of Deepa Danam in Hindu Sanatana Dharma and lauded the efforts of TTD authorities in designing the programme.
ASTALAKSHMI DANCE BY SV MUSIC AND COLLEGE A CYNOSURE
The Astalakshmi Vaibhavam damce presented the students of SV College of Music and Dance of TTD captivated the gathering with their awesome performance.
LITTING 720 WICKS DEEPAM
The three hour long event concluded with the women devotees litting the 720 wicks of ghee lit lamp and observing Karthika Deepotsavam.

The women devotees who participated in this spiritual event expressed immense pleasure on the never seen before arrangements made by TTD. The arrangements by all departments of TTD and Srivari Seva volunteers made the event to witness an overwhelming success.
