Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy surprises Governor by greeting her during the Phone-In
Hyderabad, Jan 1: Scores of callers
greeted Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on the occasion of New Year
celebrations during the Phone-In programme on Friday.
The Governor took more than 60 calls
during the one hour long Phone-In that began at 10 am.
Wishes and greetings poured in from
different sections of the people from across the State and a couple of calls
were from outside the State also.
Enthused by the response of the
Governor, who tried to wish the callers in their mother tongue, many callers greeted
her in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and English.
The Governor was especially enthused
by the greeting calls from the children.
The Governor was pleasantly
surprised to receive an unexpected call from the Legislative Assembly Speaker
Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, who wished the Governor a very happy new year during
the Phone In.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan
enthusiastically attended the calls and wished each and every one who could get
connected during the Phone In.
Some callers have also brought the
plight of private teachers, contract lecturers of engineering colleges and
other grievances to the notice of the Governor and sought her intervention to
ameliorate their conditions.
The Governor suggested them to write
their grievances to the Raj Bhavan for necessary follow up.
