Peruveta Utsavam in Tirumala on 15th Jan

Tirumala, 9 January 2021: The Paruveta Utsavam, which will be observed in connection with Kanuma, a day after Makara Sankranthi festival, will be celebrated on January 15 at Tirumala.


Sri Malayappa Swamy and Sri Krishna Swamy will be brought to Paruveta Mandapam at around 1pm, where Archakas offer Aradhanas, Nivedana and Harati.


Sri Krishna Swamy will be offered puja first by Sannidhi Yadava where milk and butter are rendered as Naivedyam and later he joins Sri Malayappa Swamy at Paruveta Mandapam.


Sri Malayappa Swamy is also offered milk and butter brought from Sannidhi. Later Sri Malayappa participates in the mock hunting (Paruveta) which begins with the shooting of arrows that will be enacted thrice.


While returning from Parveta Mandapam to Srivari temple, Sri Malayappa receives a stick presented by the representatives of Hathiramji Mutt.


In view of Parveta Utsavam, TTD has cancelled the arjita sevas including Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, and Arjita Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara seva on January 15.
