Kunda Chaturdi Observed with Religious Fervour









Tirupati, 15 February 2021:As part of it's promotion of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, TTD mulled month-long Magha Masa Puja.  

 

On Monday evening, Kunda Kusumarchana was observed with religious fervour in Dhyanaramam at Tirupati by SV Vedic University scholars on the auspicious day of Magha Chaturthi.

 

The unique feature about this fete is that the giant Shiva Linga was offered Abhishekam with jasmines. Explaining its significance the vedic pundits said that Kunda means Jasmines and as it's flowering commences in Magha Masam, Lord Shiva who is also worshipped as Rudra was offered floral bath with jasmines to appease Him to bestow His benign blessings and protect the humanity from calamities and diseases. 

 

The Vedic pandits chanting Rudra Trisati, chanting 300 divine names on the occasion. 

 

The event was live telecasted between 7pm and 8pm on SVBC for the sake of global devotees.

 

Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, SVVU VC Prof.Sannidhanam Sudarshana Sharma, vedic scholars were also present.
