Magha Purnima Snanam Goes Off Well in Triveni Sangamam







Tirupati, 27 Feb 2021: The auspicious Magha Pournami Punya Snanam was observed with religious fervour in the Triveni Sangamam at Kaleshwaram on Saturday.

 

As part of the Magha Masa festivities mulled by TTD, the sacred bath was planned at Jayashankar Bhupalpally district of Telengana State. The programme was telecasted live on SVBC between 9am and 11am.

 

Earlier, the processional deities of Srivaru with Sridevi and Bhudevi along with Chakrattalwar were brought to the banks of the river and Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed. Later the holy Disc was given celestial dip.

 

Kaleshwaram is famous as Dakshina Kasi and three rivers including Godavari, Pranahita and Saraswathi merge to form Triveni Sangamam. On the banks of this river triplet is located the famous Sri Kaleshwara Mukteswara Swamy temple.

 

District Collector Sri Krishna Aditya, SP Sri Sangram Singh Patil, SVBC CEO Sri Suresh Kumar, Tirumala temple OSD Sri P Seshadri were also present.
