15 TTD Women Employees Bag Sri Padmavati Awards























Tirupati, 8 Mar. 21: Earn self-respect which is most important for a woman to become strong, said Smt Vemireddi Prasanthi Reddy.

 

The social worker, entrepreneur and TTD Trust Board member graced the international Women's Day celebrations held by TTD welfare Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Monday. 

TTD Joint Executive Officer Smt Sada Bhargavi said in pursuance of Indus Culture act of respect to women should begin at every home which thereafter will be followed in the society.

 

She was participating as chief guest at the international women’s day celebrations organised by TTD at the Mahati auditorium for it's women employees.

 

She said women should identify their skills and make use of it to empower themselves.

 

Earlier speakers Smt Ramaa Raavj, Smt Sai Prasanna Ravishankar and Smt Korada Mrudula also spoke on women empowerment. 

 

JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi during her speech displayed a four-minute clip on how male chauvinism had hindered women’s development in the world with Droupadi Vastrapaharana Episode from Mahabharata.

 

She said the Mahabharata battle took place as fallout of disgrace and humiliation to a woman. "The society will suffer if women are not treated properly. Learn our your boys on how to respect women from tender age", she added.

 

The chief guest and speakers were felicitated with mementos and shawls. 

 

15 women employees were presented with Sri Padmavati awards for their excellence in service.

 

Later, 98 women staffers who would retire during 2021-22 were also presented with shawls and mementos.

 

TTD special Grade DyEOs Smt Parvathi, Smt Varalakshm, DyEOs.Sri Anandaraju, Smt Kasturi, Smt Snehalata, CMO Dr Narmada, Dr Jamunarani Principal of Music and Dance College were present.

 

Similarly several women employees who contested in competition- Essay writing, Gatra music, drawing and quiz, held during the IWD were also handed over prizes.

 

The highlight of the celebrations were cultural events including fancy dress, dance ballets, and Annamacharya sankeetans presented by the TTD women employees.
