Brahmotsavams Begins at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temple with Dwajarohanam






Srinivasa Mangapuram, 2 March 2021: The annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram kicked off to a traditional start with the Dwajarohanam in the auspicious Meena Lagnam at 08.30-08.53 hours on Tuesday in Ekantham in view of Covid guidelines.

 

Earlier the portraits of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara, His consorts Sri Devi and Bhudevi, Viswaksena, Ananta, Garuda etc. Were brought in a procession up to the Dwajasthambham.

 

Amidst Mangala Vaidyam and Veda mantras the Kankanabhattar Sri Balaji Rangacharyulu offered special pujas to the Dwaja Sthambham, inviting 18 Ganas and galaxy of gods for the Brahmotsavam festival.

      

BTUs IN EKANTHAM DUE TO COVID GUIDELINES- TTD EO

 

Speaking on the occasion the TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said the annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara was held in Ekantham in view of prevailing Covid-19 guidelines.

 

Hailing the heritage and antiquity of the SKVST, the TTD EO said the temple was patronised by Vijayanagar kings and Saint poet Annamacharya.

 

He said the Garuda seva on March 6 was the hallmark of the nine-day festival organised by TTD for well being of humanity which concluded on March 10 with Dwajavarohanam.

 

SRIVARI LADDUS FOR BTU

 

TTD is also organising the sale of Srivari laddus to devotees coming for SKVST at 3000 laddus per day during the annual event.

 

TTD JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi, SE Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, DyEO Smt Shanti, VSO Sri Manohar, AEO Sri Dhananjayulu, Superintendents Sri Ramanaiah, Sri Chengalrayalu, AVSO Sri Surendra, Temple Inspector Sri Srinivasulu, temple Archakas and others were present.
