Tirupati, 28 Feb. 21: As part traditional gramotsavam at Kupuchandrapeta village, the grand procession of utsava idols of Sri Sita Lakshmana Sameta Kodandarama Swamy was held on Sunday.
The idols were brought to the village, which is 8 kms away from Tirupati in a procession, and Snapana Tiirumanjanam was performed in the noon.
Thereafter Unjal seva and Gramotsava were conducted in the evening before returning the idols to Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple.
As per age old practice every year on the Pournami day of Magha masa, the utsava idols of Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple are being brought to the Kupuchandrapeta village to participate in the Gramotsava festivities of the village.
The artists of HDPP and Dasa Sahitya project presented bhajans, kolatas and cultural programs in the procession.
The Special Grade DyEO Smt Parvati, AEO Sri Durga Raju, Superintendent Sri Ramesh and others were present.
