Chief Secretary to Govt., on Cultivation of Oil Palm in the State.

Hon’ble Minister for Finance said that the Oil Palm Cultivation will be taken
up in a big way in the State for the next coming years. He said that Oil Palm
cultivation will be taken up in large extent during the Year 2022. He said that
farmers will be largely benefitted besides it is also environment friendly
crop. He suggested various Department officials to plan to raise Oil Palm
nurseries, but major constraint in increasing the area under Oil Palm is
availability of seedlings.
