TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to set up a separate Engineering Division to take up all renovation and development works of temples under the SRIVANI Trust.
Reviewing the activities of the SRIVANI Trust with officials at Sri Padmavati Rest House in Tirupati on Tuesday, the EO instructed the officials to study their local history and heritage and ongoing rituals before the revival proposals are taken under the SRIVANI Trust.
Sanctioning revival and development of several merged and local temples under SRIVANI Trust, he asked the officials to set a time schedule and assess the value addition to devotee sentiments with development of such temples.
He instructed them to promote approach roads, water facilities etc. during regular repairs to TTD local and merged temples without damaging their designs and antiquity.
He also asked officials to make a weekly inspection and maintenance of roads and footpaths in Tirumala.
Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi, FA & CAO Sri O Balaji, Chief Engineer Sri Nageswara Rao, DyEO Sri Ramana Prasad were present.
