TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has said that the TTD will set up an Annamaiah Chair at the National Sanskrit University in Tirupati to conduct comprehensive research on the patriarch of prose poetry, Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya.
During a review meeting held on TTD projects at Annamaiah Bhavan on Thursday evening, the TTD EO directed the officials to take necessary measures in this direction.
Speaking on the occasion the TTD EO instructed officials to upload the digital version of Annamaiah Sankeetans on the TTD website and also provide wide publicity to the new SVBC program, "Adivo…Alladivo".
He urged officials to organise quiz, essay writing and oratory contests on the Sankeetans of Annamaiah and Vengamamba.
He asked officials to conceive Annamaiah Lahiri program with complete with definition, significance etc. of all the available 14,000 Annamaiah Sankeertans.
Similarly the TTD EO instructed officials to strive to gather all the 5,000 to 10,000 Dasa Sankeertans from Dasa Sahitya and also sign an agreement with Bangalore University Karnataka to provide wide publicity to Dasa Sahitya.
He asked officials to promote publicity on prime slot for Dasa Sahitya Sankeetans on SVBC and also conduct contests titled Dasa Namana for Dasa Sankeertans from the 300 Sankeetans recorded by the SV Recording Project.
The TTD EO also reviewed the activities of the Divya Prabandam Project, SV Recording Project and made valuable suggestions.
Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, FA& CAO Sri O Balaji, TTD Dharmic projects Program Officer Sri Vijaya Saradhi, Annamacharya-Vengamamba Project Director Sri Akella Vibhishana Sharma, Dasa Sahitya Project OSD Sri PR Anandathirthacharyulu were present.
