Home Minister Offers Prayers in Sri Kapileswara Swamy Vari Temple

 The Union Home Minister Sri Amit Shah offered prayers in the ancient Temple of Sri Kapileswara Swamy at Tirupati on Monday.

Earlier on his arrival he was received by TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy and EO Dr KS Jawhar Reddy and given traditional welcome with Purnakumbham amidst chanting of Veda Mantras.

Later he offered prayers to Sri Vinayaka Swamy then to Dhwajasthambham. Afterwards he took part in Abhisheka Seva of the main deity. He also had darshan of Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru, Sri Guru Dakshinamurthy, Sri Subramanya Swamy.

The Central Home Minister also participated in Chandi Homam as part of ongoing Homa Mahotsavams.

Later on the Chairman and EO offered him Prasadams and presented him "Roots" book along with portrait of deity.

MPs Sri Sujana Chowdary, Sri CM Ramesh, board member Sri Krishnamurty Vaidyanathan, former minister Lakshmi Narayana, former TTD Board Member Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, Collector Sri Harinarayana, JEO Sri Veerabrahmaiah, Tirupati Urban SP Sri Venkatappala Naidu, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Temple DyEO Sri Subramanyam and other officers were also present.
