Transfer Knowledge Treasure in Palm Leaf Scripts to Future Generations - TTD EO

It is the responsibility of everyone to transfer the knowledge treasure on science, culture and technology embedded in ancient palm leaf manuscripts by Saints and Rishis for the benefit of future generations said TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy.

   

Speaking after a review meeting with officials on the issue of digitisation of Palm leaf and copper plate manuscripts at his chambers in the TTD Administrative building on Thursday evening the EO directed officials to digitise all manuscripts available with TTD and also in the libraries of universities as per regulations of the National Manuscripts Department.

 

He asked officials to prepare a comprehensive report to use any available building or build a new infrastructure for the installation of equipment for the digitisation programme.

 

TTD JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi (E&H) and Sri Veerabrahmam, Vice-Chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit University Acharya Muralidhar Sharma, SV Vedic University Vice-Chancellor Acharya Sannidhanam Sudarshan Sharma, TTD DEO Sri Govindarajan and Sanatana Jeevan Samstha Representative Smt Vijayalakshmi and others were also present.
