As per the directions of the Honourable Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekar Rao, Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar IAS held a high level meeting with senior officials and reviewed the prevailing Covid situation in the state, particularly in view of the rapidly spreading Omicron variant cases in several states of the country.
During the
meeting it was noted that the number of cases of Omicron and Covid 19 are on
the rise in other states of India and countries and therefore it was felt that
it is important to exercise utmost precaution and adequate preventive measures
have to be taken to prevent its further spread.
Therefore,
government has issued a G.O to control the spread of Covid 19 strictly
prohibiting rallies, public meetings and mass gatherings of all types including
religious, political and cultural events.
The managements of public transport, shops, malls, establishments,
offices etc have been instructed to ensure mandatory earring of masks ,
maintaining physical distance, frequent sanitization of premises, provision for
hand hygiene and screening at entry points with IR thermometer/thermal
scanners.
The
managements of schools and educational institutions have been asked to ensure
that all staff and students wear masks and follow Covid appropriate
behavior. The order of imposition of
fine of Rs 1000 for not wearing of mask by people in public places will be
strictly enforced. All persons have been
asked to adhere to Covid appropriate behavior. Senior citizens and persons with
comorbidities are specifically advised to exercise precautions against Covid
19.
