TTD Eo Reviews SVIMS Development Works

TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has urged TTD officials to strive to make SVIMS (Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences) hospital at Tirupati as one of the top hospitals in the country with all necessary infrastructure made available.

 

He reviewed the functioning of SVIMS hospital and Sri Padmavati medical College on Thursday evening at the Sri Padmavati Rest House in Tirupati.

 

He said all arrangements be made to disburse medical bills of cashless treatment as per MoU with health insurance companies within 3 months and in case of delays agreed percentage of interest also be slapped with advance notice to those institutions in recovery of arrears.

 

He directed officials to set up a committee of seniors to decide on tariff of surgeries at SVIMS, which should study the tariffs in other hospitals and thereafter modify the rates.

 

Among others he asked officials to focus on newly launched 35 paying rooms and also bring to use the remaining 65 rooms also by February 15. He directed concerned to prepare a new software for regulation of billing and treatment and also train hospital staff in the operation of software.

 

He also directed officials to strengthen the Cardiology, Neuro surgery, Oncology wings and make SVIMS as top speciality hospital in South.

 

He asked officials to undertake a opinion poll among patients etc. by a third party agency to assess the quality of service in SVIMS.

 

The TTD EO asked engineering officials to build a waiting hall for patients in OP and also their attendants and prepare an action plan to elevate the Sri Padmavati medical college to top 10 position from the present 28th rank.

 

He also suggested organising digital classes to facilitate the students to access technology to interact with specialist teachers in other top medical colleges.

 

Among others he wanted promotion of research works, publication of articles in international magazines etc.

 

Thereafter he also reviewed the works of Sri Padmavati Children's Cardiac hospital, it's buildings and medical equipment etc.
