1000 Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temples in 2 Years - TTD Chairman


Tirupati,04,March, 2022 : TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy declared on Friday that TTD is poised to construct 1000 Sri Venkateswara temples within 2 years for benefit of SC/ST/BC  and Tribal areas as directed by Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy.


Speaking after inaugurating a  three floor TTD Kalyana Mandapam  built at a cost of ₹3.40 crore at  Vadamalapeta, Appalagunta along with YSRC MLA Smt Roja , the TTD Chairman said at low rent weddings for 700 persons could be performed and that TTD would take up other development works worth ₹ 2.25 crore soon.

He said on the request of Nagari MLA Smt Roja several other development works like ₹1.25 crore for Desamma temple in Nagari and Rs.1.25 crore for Draupadi temple in Puttur,₹1.70 crore for Sri Venkateswara temple at Nindra and ₹25 lakhs for Shiva temple works were sanctioned besides a Kalyana Mandapam at Nagari.

Speaking on the occasion Smt Roja said it was an age old practice for devotees from Chennai to come on foot,take Darshan at Appalayagunta temple and proceed to Tirumala .She expressed happiness over the construction of Kalyana Mandapams at Appalayagunta with all facilities for benefit of local poor devotees and thanked the TTD Chairman for sanction and completion.

TTD board member P Ashok Kumar, TTD JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam,chief engineer Sri Nageswara Rao, DyEO Smt Kasturi Bai, Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, EE Sri Narasimha Murthy, VGO Sri Manohar and local public representatives were also present.
