Chief
Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar,IAS today unveiled compendium of Telangana State Acts in 15 volumes of various
laws and regulations in force in the State of Telangana today at BRKR Bhavan.
On
bifurcation from the undivided state most of the laws are adopted by the State
of Telangana and also brought certain modifications in few of them. There was
an imperative need to have a consolidated compendium for the youngest state in
the country.
To facilitate
all the departments in the Government towards good governance, today unveiled
the comprehensive compendium of Telangana State Acts, this includes total 287
laws in force as on 31.12.2021 and 27 enacted acts by Telangana from 02.06.2014
to 31.12.2021.
Chief
Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar,IAS on this occasion congratulated the Legal
Department of the Secretariat for printing 15 volumes containing comprehensive
information on the laws of the state of Telangana. He said that books
containing the comprehensive information would be useful for future
generations. He said that printing these volumes of nearly nine thousand pages
was a very tough task and congratulated the Judicial Department officials for
successfully handling it. He said it will benefit administration to have the
entire Telangana legal treasury in one place.
Chief
Secretary said that this will also lead to a significant improvement in the
performance of the employees. The 15 volumes of the newly printed Telangana
Stat Acts will be sent to Collectors, Government Secretaries and High Courts of
all the districts in the state.
Law
Secretary Sri A.Santosh Reddy said that Telangana State Acts have been uploaded
on the government website https:law.telangana.gov.in / state laws. The event
was attended by officials from the Law Department.
