Avirbhavotsavam of Sri Bhoga Srinivasa Held at Tirumala



As part of Sri Bhoga Srinivasa Avirbhavotsavam vishesha Sahasra Kalashabisekam was performed at Bangaru Vakili in Srivari temple on Sunday.

 

Legends say that the unique 18 inches silver idol was presented to the temple by Pallava queen Samavai Perundevi in 614 AD on this day. As part of celebrations the utsava idols of Sri Malayappa Swamy and His consorts, Sri Bhoga Srinivasmurty and Sri Viswaksena are brought to Bangaru Vakili.

 

Thereafter amidst chanting of Vedic parayanams, the Archakas grandly performed Visesha Sahasra Kalashabhisekam. All the scheduled arjita sevas were also continued normally.

 

Tirumala pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore, DyEO Sri Ramesh Babu, Potu Peishkar Sri Parthasarathy, VGO Sri Bali Reddy Parupattedar Sri Tulasi Prasad and other temple officials and Archakas were present.
