Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams Off to A Religious Start











The five-day Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams(SVV) off to a religious start in Hyderabad on Tuesday with the participation of scores of devotees.


To enable the devotees who could not witness the daily sevas in Tirumala temple, TTD has designed an innovative programme Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams almost a decade ago which was stalled in the last two years due to Covid pandemic. Resuming the fete, TTD has already performed the SVV in a big way at Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District and now observing in Hyderabad in the state of Telangana.


On the first day, the daily kainkaryams commenced with Suprabhatam, the awakening seva of Lord at 6am followed by Tomala seva-decoration of the presiding deity with colourful garlands and Tulasimalas, which was succeeded by the temple court Koluvu between 6.30am and 7.30am. However, in the evening the Tomala Seva will be observed in Ekantam.

 

After decking up the presiding deity, Archana-puja was performed reciting the 1000 sacred names of Lord which included Sahasranama, Astottara Satanama, Chaturvimsatinama, Dwadasanama which was performed between 7.30am and 8.15am. 


Later it was followed by Nivedana and Sattumora between 8.15am and 8.30am. Usually after performing Archana to Mulamurthi, Prasadams including Laddus, Vadas, Curd Rice, Tamarind Rice, Pongal will be offered to Lord.  During this time Sri Vaishnava Acharyas will recite Divya Prabandam which is known as Sattumora. 


ASTADALA PADA PADMARADHANA SEVA AND VASANTHOTSAVAM CAPTIVATES DEVOTEES IN DEVOTION 


Among the daily sevas that are being rendered to the presiding deity of Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala, Astadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva is observed on every Tuesday.


 Replicating the same, the special seva to the Mula Virat was performed offering 108 lotuses chanting the 108 divine names of Srivaru on Tuesday which was witnessed with utmost devotion by the devotees who thronged the NTR Stadium in Hyderabad. This was later followed by Vasanthotsavam.

     

Vasanthotsavam is an annual fete performed during the spring season in Tirumala. The utsava deities of Sri Malayappa, Sridevi and Bhudevi were rendered Snapana Tirumanjanam with milk, curd, honey, coconut water, turmeric, sandal paste after performing Viswaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam and Kalasaradhana. While performing the Abhishekam, the Vedic Pundits recited Taittariya Upanishad, Purusha Sooktam, Sri Sooktam, Bhu Sooktam, Neela Sooktam, Panchashanti Mantrams, Divyprabandham.


Annamacharya Project, Senior Artist, Sri B Raghunath and his team presented a series of Annamacharya Sankeertans on the occasion.       


One of the chief priests of Tirumala temple Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu, Agama Advisor Sri Mohana Rangacharyulu, Donors Sri Harshavardhan, Sri SS Reddy, Sri Venkateswar Reddy, Sri Subba Reddy,  SE Electrical Sri Venkateswarulu, AEOs Sri Parthasaradhi, Sri Sriramulu and others were present.
