Gita Jayanti Held

In connection with Gita Jayanthi on Sunday, the winners in the Bhagavat Gita shlokas recitation competition were given away prizes.

The program was held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati.

Speaking on the occasion the Special Officer of the Dasa Sahitya Project Sri Ananda Theerthacharyulu said by reciting shlokas of Bhagavat Gita, self-enlightenment will happen. Mahatma Gandhiji followed the principles of Gita and became a role model figure for honesty and truthfulness.

Among others National Sanskrit Varsity Professor Sri Sachidanandamurty, SVETA Director Smt Prasanti, Purana Pandit Sri Sesha Sai and others were present.
