Accommodation Registration Counters Shifted to CRO on A Trail Basis

The Face Recognition Technology (FRT) implemented by TTD has enhanced transparency in room allotment system and curbed the menace of Dalaris said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

Speaking to the media at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday, the EO said the devotees are now getting accommodation within 5-10 minutes without any inconvenience. The rotation of rooms which used to be rampant earlier due to the middlemen has now curtailed with the introduction of FRT. Even the refund is also given to the devotee who was allotted the room with their Adhaar card. Once again a devotee will get a room only after a span of a month. With this new system which was introduced on March 1 onwards, till March 12, the revenue garnered by TTD in accommodation was Rs. 2.95 crores. Same system is being implemented in Advance booking and Current booking systems also, EO maintained.

On an experimental basis, the registration of names in counters located at various places in Tirumala will be shifted to CRO. The EO also said the FRT enabled in Vaikuntham 2 for distribution free laddus to devotees has also yielded good results putting an end to dalari menace. At present laddu token will be issued only in person to a devotee, he added.
