Research on Manuscript Project to be Encouraged





The Manuscript Project of TTD should emerge ideal and stand as an Iconic Project in the entire nation said, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


The EO held a review meeting on the project in SV Vedic University on Monday with the officials concerned to verify the progress of ongoing works. He aspired that the scholars should do research and PhDs on these rare Manuscripts which were scanned and treasured in SV Vedic University. The EO said out of 5500 Manuscript books brought from ASI, scanning of around 3370 were completed. A total of 2,11,313 Manuscripts are available in these "Talapatra Grandhas", he added. 


He has also instructed to complete the scanning of the remaining Manuscripts within a span of two months. "For this we will provide necessary infrastructure and manpower to complete the task on time", he added. 


Earlier, the officials explained EO over the progress of works with the help of a Power Point Presentation. The EO also learnt from them the process of research, scanning, cleaning of Manuscripts and safeguarding techniques. The EO was also told that there are very rare manuscripts available in Jyothisha, Vedanta, Purana, Kavyas which need to be scanned for the sake of future generations. Reacting to this, the EO said, they are the treasure of the country and those manuscripts need to be translated into Telugu which is understandable even to a common individual. In coordination with the Sanatana Jeevan Trust the Manuscript Project of TTD should emerge top in the entire country", he reiterated.


JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi, Vice-Chancellor of SVVU Sri Rani Sadasiva Murthy, Manuscripts Project DyEO Smt Vijayalakshmi, Registrar Sri Radheshyam and others were present.
