With an aim to meet the increasing demand from the pilgrims and also to give job opportunities to more women, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy along with EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy has inaugurated the Second Manufacturing Unit of Agarbattis in SV Gosala at Tirupati on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman said in 2021 Bengaluru-based Darshan International firm has come forward TTD has set up the Agarbattis manufacturing Unit. So far Rs.30.66 cr products have been sold to devotees. As there is a huge demand for these Agarbattis from pilgrims which are manufactures out of used flowers in TTD temples, we have decided to enhance the production and set up a second unit adjacent to the first one itself.
The Chairman said, at of now per day 15000 packets of Agarbattis are being manufactured and with the opening of the second unit another 15000 packets shall be produced. Besides, these units are also providing job opportunities to many women, he added.
JEO (H&E) Smt Sada Bhargavi, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, EE Sri Manoharam, Sri Muralikrishna, Director SVGosala Dr Harinath Reddy and others were also present.
