TTD Eo Presents Silk Vastrams to Sri Kalahasteeshwara Temple

As part of the ongoing Sivaratri Brahmotsavams in the famous Vayulingeswara Swamy temple at Sri Kalahasti, on behalf of TTD, EO Sri Syamala Rao presented the silk vastrams on Friday.

The temple EO Sri T. Bapi Reddy welcomed TTD EO who presented the Pattu clothes on behalf of Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy.  

Later the TTD EO offered prayers to Sri Vayulingeswara and Goddess Gnana Prasunamba.  Afterwards, he also had the darshan of Sri Dakshina Murthy.

Speaking to the media after the darshan, TTD EO said the temple of Srikalahasti is emerging as a great Shaivakshetra in South India as is also known as Dakshina Kasi.  He added that the number of devotees coming to Srikalahasti temple is also increasing significantly.  He said that the devotees coming to Tirumala to have a darshan of Srivari are also visiting the Srikalahasti temple as part of their visit to the temples in the surrounding area, and the TTD has provided the necessary facilities for the devotees in Tirupati.  He reminded that devotees from all over the country come to Srikalahasteeshwaralaya and perform Rahuketu Puja.  

As part of the temple annual Brahmotsavam, the marriage ceremony of Swami and Amma will be held today.  He said that it has been a tradition for TTD to present Pattu Vastrams to Sri Kalahastiswara for the last 25 years.
