Serve Tasty and Hygienic Dishes to Devotees - TTD Addl Eo




It is the bounden duty of every Hotelier in Tirumala to provide tasty and hygienic dishes to the multitude of visiting devotees ensuring proper maintenance in all hotels, avoiding any sort of inconvenience. 

Addressing a meeting  with the hotel operators and local stake holders at Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala on Thursday, the Additional EO emphasized that high-quality food must be served with devotion, keeping in mind the health safety of the devotees. 
He said the devotees should experience the pilgrimage to Tirumala as a sweet and memorable experience. 
He noted that even small mistakes by hotel staff have led to significant dissatisfaction among devotees.
He directed hotel owners to strictly follow legal norms, regularly clean the premises, and adhere to a checklist that TTD’s Health Department provides them daily. 
He warned that officials from all departments of TTD will conduct surprise inspections.
He said TTD is already providing quality meals through the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex(MTVAC) and 33 food counters in high-traffic areas. 
He stressed that hotel staff must wear traditional attire, reflecting Telugu culture while serving devotees and to avoid past mistakes, strict measures must be taken.
Hotel operators must display valid trade licenses, GST certificates, and provide facilities for digital payments. They should renew their licenses within the stipulated time and display price lists prominently. 
He asked officials to ensure safe LPG cylinder usage in kitchens and asked the hoteliers to take collective responsibility for cleanliness by disposing of waste promptly.
He also emphasized the need to provide safe drinking water and avoid wastage of water and electricity. 
A pilot project will be carried out on these practices in 5 to 10 hotels soon, and TTD will provide necessary support.
Later, the hotel owners shared their challenges with the Additional EO, who assured them that suitable actions would be taken after discussions with officials concerned.
The meeting was attended by Annaprasadam Deputy EO Sri Rajendra Kumar, DyEO Health Sri Somannarayana, Estate Officer Sri Venkateswarlu, Special Officer of Catering Sri Shastry, VGO Smt. Sadalakshmi, and other officials along with hotel operators.
