The annual Anivara Asthanam was performed with religious fervour at Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala on Wednesday.
The event was attended by HH Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, HH Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu, EO Sri J. Syamala Rao and board members.
From 7AM to 9 AM, Sri Malayappa Swamy along with His consorts Sri and Bhu Devis, seated in the Ghanta Mandapam on Sarvabhoopala Vahanam, facing Garudalwar while. Sri Viswaksena, the Chief Commander was placed facing south.
Special pujas were performed to both Moolavirat and Utsava Murthies.
Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar carried six Pattu garments in a procession over his head on a plate and offered four to the Moolavirat, one each to Malayappa Swamy and Sri Vishwaksena.
The temple priest performed rituals including Parivattam, lachchana, and traditional offerings.
The ceremony concluded by placing the lachchana at the holy feet of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
In the evening, the deities will bless devotees in a floral palanquin-the Pushpa Pallaki.
TTD Board Members Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi, Sri Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Sri Naresh Kumar, Sri Shanta Ram, Sri Sadasiva Rao, Sri Janga Krishnamurthy, Smt. Janaki Devi, Sri Mahender Reddy participated.
Among others TTD Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, Deputy EO Sri Lokanatham, and other senior officials were also present in this religious annual ceremony.
