The traditional Ankurarpanam ceremony was held on Saturday evening at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati, marking the commencement of the annual Pavithrotsavams, scheduled from July 20 to 22.
As part of the rituals, Senadhipathi Utsavam, Medhini Puja, Mrutsangrahanam, and Ankurarpanam were performed.
These rituals aim to purify the temple from any spiritual lapses unknowingly caused by devotees or staff.
On July 20, Pavitra Pratistha and Shayanadhivasam will be conducted.
On July 21, Pavitra Samarpana and Vedic rituals will take place in the Yagasala.
On July 22, the Utsavam concludes with Vedic rites and Poornahuti.
Temple Deputy EO Smt. Nagaratna, AEO Sri Ravi, chief priests, and staff were participated in this event.
