A sacred Ankurarpanam ceremony was conducted in accordance with the Agama traditions on Saturday evening from 6:30 PM onwards at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Vijayawada, marking the beginning of the Ashtabandhana Jeernodharana Maha Samprokshanam.
As per the tradition, TTD organizes the Ashtabandhana Maha Samprokshanam once in every 12 years at its associated temples.
Schedule of Rituals:
July 27 (Sunday):
9 AM to 12 Noon – Agni Pratishtha
6:30 PM – Kalakarshana and Yukta Homams
July 28 (Monday):
9 AM – Navagraha Aradhana and Principal Homams
6:30 PM – Yukta Homams, Kumbharadhana, and Abhimantranam
July 29 (Tuesday):
9 AM – Sarva Shanti Homams
6:30 PM – Sahasrahuti Homam for removal of all doshas (defects/evils)
July 30 (Wednesday):
9 AM – Ashtabandhana Dravya Aradhana, Maha Shanti Homams, Ushna Bandhanam, and Ashtabandha application
4 PM – Dosha Nivarana Shanti Homams
7 PM – Maha Shanti Tirumanjanam, Dhanyadhivasa, and Sarva Daivatya Homam
July 31 (Thursday):
7:30 AM – Maha Purnahuti
11:25 AM to 12:24 PM (during Chitta Nakshatram and Tula Lagna)
Kalavahanam
Prathama Kalarchana
Maha Samprokshanam
Akshatarohanam
Brahma Ghosha and other associated rituals
TTD officials and temple priests are actively participating in the sacred ceremonies.
