Dhwajastambha Renovation Works Begins at Tarigonda Temple




The Dhwajasthambham restoration works at the historic Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Tarigonda, Annamayya district, commenced on Wednesday with the auspicious Balalayam rituals.


As part of the ceremonies, temple priests performed traditional rituals in the morning, including Chatushtana Archana, installation of Bimba, Kumbha, Kunda, Dwara, Torana, Andarala, Pathaka, and Devatapratishta in accordance with Agama traditions.

In the evening, Nitya Havanam, Dwara Pujas, and Ekanta Seva were scheduled to take place.

On July 31, the programs will continue with Nitya Havanams and Dhwajasthambha Abhishekam in the morning, and Nitya Havanams followed by Ekanta Seva in the evening.

On August 1, the temple will witness the culmination of the restoration rituals with Mahapurnahuti, dismantling of the existing Dhwajasthambha, and Udvasa rituals for Bimba, Kumbha, and Dhwajasthambha, followed by Mahanivedana, all in adherence to scriptural norms.
