Pavitra Samarpana Performed






As part of the ongoing Pavithrotsavam celebrations at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati, the second day of rituals took place on Monday with the performance of "Pavitra Samarpana" in accordance with the Vedic traditions.


The processional deities of Sri Rama accompanied by Sita and Lakshmana, were ceremoniously brought to the Yagashala and rituals such as Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Kumbharadhana, and Yuktahoma were performed.

As part of the ceremonies, a grand "Snapana Tirumanjanam"  was conducted for the processional deities in the morning.

Pavitra malas were also offered to Vishwaksena, the temple guards, Garudalwar, the sacrificial fire pits in the Yagashala, the Bali Peetham, the Dhwajasthambham and the Hanuman shrine located in front of the temple.

In the evening, the deities were taken in a procession on the golden palanquin around the mada streets.

Temple officials, priests, devotees were present.
