Quality Food Must Serve in Big and Janata Canteens - TTD Eo




TTD Executive Officer Sri J. Syamala Rao emphasised the need to provide quality food to the devotees visiting Tirumala for Srivari Darshan, through Big and Janata canteens.

On Wednesday, he held a meeting along with TTD Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary at the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Wednesday with the representatives of recognised hotel operators.
Speaking on the occasion, the EO stated that devotees come from all over the world to have darshan of Sri Venkateswara, and TTD has to serve them with dedication by providing hygienic, quality food items at fixed prices without a profit motive.
He informed that a notification was issued on June 23 for operating the Big and Janata canteens in Tirumala.
To address queries related to the EoI, the EO and the Additional EO organised a pre-bid meeting with interested and recognised hoteliers.
The EO and Additional EO urged the hotel operators to strictly follow hygiene and quality standards and serve food items at the prescribed prices in Big and Janata hotels.
During the meeting, recognised and interested hoteliers raised various questions and concerns regarding the tender process and related rules, which were clarified by the EO and the Additional EO.
Additional FACAO Sri Ravi Prasadu, Tirumala Estate Officer Sri K. Venkateswarlu, and representatives of several interested and recognised hotels participated in the meeting.
