Protecting the sanctity of Tirumala is the topmost priority, asserted the Honourable CM of AP, Sri N Chandrababu Naidu.
After completing the darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala temple, in his speech from the Ranganayakula Mandapam of Srivari Temple on Wednesday evening, the CM of AP said, ''Srivaru blessed me with the rarest opportunity of presenting the pattu vastrams in the capacity of CM, several times that no one else has. I strongly believe that He saved my life in the Alipiri incident for a good cause. The Annaprasadam activity commenced by late Sri NT Rama Rao some decades ago in Tirumala, has now developed into manyfold, feeding lakhs of pilgrims every day with the interest amount of the Trust funds that have crossed over Rs.2200cr. I request that the TTD Board Chairman, members and officials shall plan to extend the Annaprasadam activity in other TTD-run temples as well'', he added.
On SRIVANI Trust he said, TTD has so far received Rs.2038 crores as donations to the Trust. For the construction of the temples, so far, Rs.837 crore have been spent. More temples should be constructed in remote villages and for this mighty activity, donors should come forward with their largesse'', he maintained.
The day Srivaru blessed me with a second life, we started the SV Pranadana Trust in TTD. Rs 709 crores have been donated to the Pranadana Trust so far, towards medical aid to the poor and needy patients. TTD should take steps to improve medical facilities in Rayalaseema with these donations", he added.
Lauding the services of Srivari Seva Volunteers, the CM said ''So far around 17 lakh sevaks have rendered impeccable services to devotees out of which 12 lakh are women and five lakh are men volunteers since its inception in 2000. The Srivari Sevaks are a true asset and the quality of their services need to be enhanced to extract better services for devotees'', he maintained.
Adding further he said,'People should live healthy, happy and with content. For this TTD should take steps to prioritize Annaprasadam in all its temples, temple construction, enhance Srivari Seva activity in a big way", he reiterated.
