Sparkling Performance by Artists During Enchanting Mohini Avataram













The bright Sunny day on fifth morning of the ongoing annual brahmostavams at Tirumala witnessed the sparkling performances by various artistes in front of the dazzling Mohini Avataram aka Pallaki Utsavam.

On Sunday the devotees enjoyed a double bonanza treat where in they were mesmerized by the divine charm of Jaganmohini on one hand coupled with the added attraction provided by the colourful dance performances.

A total of 26 art groups from 10 states and union territories participated in the event. A total of 568 artists in these groups further enhanced the splendor of the Palanquin festival with their exotic performances.

The 'Mohini Attam', 'Gopika Nrityam' and 'Thiruvatharakali' performed by artists from Kerala stood as a special attraction while 'Mohini Bhasmasura Yakshaganam', 'Dasavani Nrityavaibhavam' from Karnataka and 'Kalbelia' dances from Rajasthan impressed the devotees.

Art forms reflecting the cultures of various states such as 'Badai' and 'Tribal Folk Dances' from Madhya Pradesh, 'Praav Puja' from Chhattisgarh and 'Bhangra' from Punjab have also impressed the devotees. Traditional arts like 'Dhimsa', 'Kittayya Leela', 'Damaruka Dhavani Vinyasam' and 'Chekka Bhajana' performed by artists from both the Telugu states added the extra spiritual charm to the Pallaki Utsavam.
