10K More Tonsures on G-Day This Year

On the day of Garuda Seva this year, ten thousand more number of pilgrims offered tonsures when compared to last year, said Kalyana Katta DyEO Sri Venkataiah.

Speaking to media persons at Rambhageecha 2 media center on Wednesday he said 1148 tonsurers working round the clock and in the last seven days over 2.11 lakh devotees offered their hairs while on Peratasi Second Saturday on October 27 a maximum of 49,088 devotees offered their hairs, he added.
