The sacred Chakrasnanam was performed with religious fervour on Wednesday as part of the annual Brahmotsavams of Tarigonda Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.
The rituals began with Vasanthotsavam at 7:00 a.m. Later at 10:00 a.m., Snapana Tirumanjanam was conducted, followed by the grand Chakrasnanam. The deity was ceremonially offered holy bath (abhishekam) with milk, curd, honey, coconut water, turmeric and sandalwood paste. Amidst chanting of Vedic hymns, the priests performed the Chakrasnanam as per Agama traditions.
In the evening, Tiruchi Utsavam will be observed at 7:00 p.m., followed by Dhwajavarohanam at 8:00 p.m., marking the conclusion of the annual Brahmotsavams.
Several officials, priests and a large number of devotees participated in the event.
