The three-day annual Sri Padmavati Srinivasa Parinayotsavams began with a great religious splendour on Saturday evening at the Dashavatara-Ashtalakshmi Mandapam in Narayangiri Gardens at Tirumala .
Adorned with colourful flowers emitting diverse fragrances to resemble heaven on earth, the event will run until April 27.
A team of 100 garden staff and 50 electricians transformed the mandapam as Earthly Heaven.
Around 2 tons of traditional flowers, half a ton of fruits, and 30,000 cut flowers have been used to soruce up the Mandapam matching the occasion.
Striking electric displays depicting Sri Srinivasa-Padmavati Parinayam, Gajalakshmi, Gopalakrishna, and Ashtalakshmi forms are captivating devotees.
Highlights
On Vaishakha Shuddha Navami (Saturday), Sri Malayappa Swamivaru rode the Gajavahana as the divine Consorts arrived at the wedding mandapam on separate palanquins.
Festive rituals for the eternal divine bride and groom included series of Hindu marriage traditions.
The divine wedding then unfolded vibrantly amid ragas, talas, and orchestral music besides Chaturveda Parayanam.
TTD EO Sri Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, Deputy EO Sri Lokanatham, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, other officials, and a large number of devotees participated.
