The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Appalayagunta, commenced with the traditional Ankurarpanam ceremony on Wednesday evening.
As part of the rituals, Medhini Puja and Senadhipati Utsavam were performed, followed by Ankurarpanam in the Yagasala, marking the auspicious beginning of the festivities.
The Brahmotsavams will formally begin with Dwajarohanam on June 25. During the nine-day festival, the deity will bless devotees on various vahanams, including the grand Garuda Vahanam on June 29.
Spiritual discourses, devotional music, bhajans, and cultural programs will be organized daily as part of the celebrations.
