Meeting Held with Dals Millers of AP





With a noble aim to supply high-quality delicacies involving dal in Annaprasadam (the massive free meals programme of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams), a meeting was held by the Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary with Dal millers hailing from different parts of Andhra Pradesh in Tirumala on Thursday.

 
The meeting discussed in detail the Quantitative and Qualitative supply of ingredients (dals) to TTD. The Additional EO said, TTD utilizes Seven varieties of dals in its daily consumption of Annaprasadam seven types of dals including Bengal Gram, Fried Bengal Gram, Black Gram without husk, Black gram with husk, Thoor Dal, Greengram and groundnuts. “In the last couple of years, we have improved the quality of rice by procuring the rice from the Rice Millers Association without any compromise and anticipating similar quality and quantity supply of Dals from Dal Millers of AP also, he asserted.

 

Responding positively, the representatives of AP Dal Millers also said they are willing to associate in the divine service of Annaprasadam activity of TTD- which is serving millions and millions of visiting pilgrims every day, by supplying the qualitative products.


Later the Additional EO instructed the officers concerned to work on the probabilities of procuring the Dals from the Millers in a transparent manner.

 

DyEO Annaprasadam Sri Rajendra Kumar, DyEO Warehousing Smt Padmavathi, GM Procurement Sri Umashankar, AEO Potu Sri Muniratnam, Special Officer Catering Sri Shastry, various Dal millers from AP were also present.
