Sri Venugopala Swamy Vari Temple Brahmotsavams Commence Grandly at Karvetinagaram

The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Rukmini-Satyabhama Sametha Sri Venugopala Swamy at Karvetinagaram commenced grandly on Saturday with the ceremonial Dhwajarohanam amidst Vedic chants, traditional music, and Govinda namasmarana by devotees.

The Garuda flag was hoisted on the temple flagstaff between 8.10 a.m. and 8.45 a.m., marking the formal beginning of the festivities. Earlier, rituals such as Dhwaja Pratishtha, Raksha Bandhanam, Bheri Tadanam, Navasandhi, and Bali Haranam were performed as per Agama traditions.

A ceremonial procession of Sri Venugopala Swamy along with Chakrattalwar and parivara deities was held on the four mada streets. According to temple tradition, the procession symbolically invites the celestial beings and divine hosts to participate in the Brahmotsavams.

As part of the festivities, the Lord will bless devotees on Pedda Sesha Vahanam on Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The annual Kalyanotsavam will be observed on June 9, while Pushpayagam will be held on June 15.

Temple officials, archakas, Srivari Sevaks, and a large number of devotees participated in the inaugural celebrations.
