The Nitya Annaprasadam programme by TTD is often referred to as a large-scale, well-funded, daily free-meal activity serving millions yearly, combining traditional service using modern kitchen gadgets.
Often regarded as the modern day ''Akshaya Patra'', the Annaprasadam holds a global recognitiontion of a model of humanitarian and spiritual service, ensuring every devotee visiting Tirumala, receives a satisfying, nutritious meal—free of cost.
Origin:
Launched on April 6, 1985 with just 2000 servings, at present, TTD caters to nearly 3, 00,000 devotees daily on weekends and peak days, while nearly 1.8-1.9lakh devotees on the regular days.
On a day nearly 9600 L of milk is being consumed in the form of milk and beverages.

Dining Facilities to Devotees :
Over 82,000 devotees are being served every day at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex. The massive building that four Halls serves Annaprasadam to nearly 4000 devotees in one go.
The additional Annaprasadam services are available at Sri Akshaya Kitchen, food courts, Vaikuntam Queue Complex, Narayanagiri sheds, outside queue points, and PAC buildings also.
Daily Ingredients usage:
All the ingredients used in Annaprasadam are quality assured.
Rice: 15,788 kg (≈15.8 tonnes)
Sunflower oil: 3,110 kg
Red gram dal: 2,861 kg
Besides 2,832 kilograms of suji rava, 2,825 kilograms of wheat rava, 1,729 kilograms of black gram dal, 1,436 kilograms of salt, 1,276 kilograms of jaggery, and 497 kilograms of tamarind are also used.
Additionally, around 4,375 coconuts, 430 kilograms of sugar, 309 kilograms of dried red chillies, 209 kilograms of coriander seeds, and various other ingredients are consumed daily in the preparation of meals and refreshments.
Over 44 Million Servings from January to May 2026
Statistics reveal that from January 1 to May 31, 2026, more than 44 million servings of meals, breakfast, and beverages were distributed through various Annaprasadam centres in Tirumala.
The month-wise distribution includes approximately 10 million servings in January, 7.139 million in February, 8.485 million in March, 8.5 million in April, and over 9.2 million servings in May.
Modernization Initiatives:
TTD has undertaken several modernization initiatives to further improve the quality of Annaprasadam.
The use of fresh coconuts has been introduced in the preparation of chutneys and curries.
In 2024, the Vakulamata Centralized Kitchen was commissioned, enabling food distribution services expanded to an additional 28 locations.
A newly established dining hall at PAC-5 (Venkatadri Nilayam), with seating capacity for approximately 1,500 devotees at a time, has also been made operational.
Measures are underway to construct a new satellite automated kitchen capable of preparing food for 2 lakh devotees per day.
Modern cooking equipment has been installed in the MTVAC Kitchen, and QR code-based donation kiosks have been introduced to facilitate contributions from devotees.
Fixed Deposits exceeds ₹2,500 Crore
The Sri Venkateswara Annaprasadam Trust, which is sustained through devotees’ donations, currently holds fixed deposits to the tune of around Rs.2,500 crore.
Income generated from these deposits enables TTD to provide free, high-quality meals daily to lakhs of devotees.
1000 STONG WORK FORCE
Around 1000 staff including Administrative, Cooking staff, supervisors, drivers, both regular and contact employees are working round the clock besides another 1000 Srivari Seva volunteers who offer impeccable services exclusively for Annaprasadam department every day at various places ensuring that every single devotee relish Srivari Annaprasadam with utmost devotion and satisfaction.
