Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam at Sri Pattabhirma Swamy Vari Temple, Valmikipuram on 17th March
Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be performed as per Agama traditions on March 17 at Sri Pattabhirama Swamy Temple located in Valmikipuram of Annamayya District. It is known that the annual Brahmotsavams of the temple will be held from March 24 to April 2. Conducting Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam before the Brahmotsavams is a traditional practice.
On this occasion, the Lord will be awakened with Suprabhatam in the morning, followed by Thomala Seva and Sahasranamarchana. Later, Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be performed. As part of the ritual, the temple premises will be cleansed and a fragrant mixture prepared with turmeric, kumkum, sandalwood, camphor, kacholam, kasturi turmeric and other aromatic ingredients will be sprinkled on the walls of the sanctum sanctorum.
Ankurarpanam on March 23
In connection with the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Pattabhirama Swamy Temple, Ankurarpanam will be conducted grandly on March 23 from 6 pm to 9 pm. On this occasion, Senadhipati Utsavam, Medini Puja and Mrutsangrahanam and other rituals will be performed.
