Gudiko Gomata Observed in Nellore Acsr Stadium





Nellore 16 February 2021: The reintroduction of Kalyanamastu is aimed at lighting the lives of poor who cannot afford to perform marriages to their children said, TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.

 

Speaking to media after launching Gudiko Gomata programme in AC Subba Reddy Stadium on Tuesday, he said the Kalyanamastu mass marriage programme will be resumed as part of the propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma under the directives of Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

 

He said TTD has been organising various religious activities to spread awareness among the youth on sanatana Hindu dharma and traditions.

 

He said the prestigious Gudiko Gomata is also a brian child of CM of AP and people participated in huge number at festivals organised by TTD in Karthika Masam when the programme commenced at Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool and Narasaraopeta and now at Nellore. TTD Board Member Smt Vemireddi Prasanthi Reddy along with her spouse and MP Sri Vemireddi Prabhakar Reddy has donated five cows and calves to five temples in Potti Sriramulu Nellore district over the hands of TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy couple.

 

He said soon TTD will construct 500 temples in SC, ST colonies of AP and TS as a part of TTD's mission of propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.

 

Local MLAs Sri K Sridhar Reddy, Sri K Govardhan Reddy and others were also present. 

 

Koil Alwar Tirumajanam Held at Tiruchanoor








Tirupati, 16 Feb. 21: Ahead of the holy Ratha Sapthami festival on February 19, the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was organised at Sri Padmavati temple in Tiruchanoor on Tuesday.

 

After morning rituals, the holy cleansing ritual of the temple was performed with desi herbs and aromatic leaves etc. before commencing sarva Darshan.

 

DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani, AEO Sri Subramaniam, superintendent Smt Malleswari, temple inspector Sri Rajesh and temple Archakas were present.

TTD is organising Snapana thirumanjanam for utsava idol of Goddess Padmavati at Krishna Mandapam in the evening.

 

In view of daylong festivities the TTD has cancelled all arjita sevas like Kalyanotsava, Lakshmi puja, Unjal Seva and break darshans.

 

TTD Employees Sports Meet




Tirupati, 16 Feb. 21: TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has directed officials concerned to conduct annual employees sports meet without disturbing working hours.

 

Addressing a review meeting on the annual sports meet at the Sri Padmavati rest House on Tuesday, the TTD EO directed officials to prepare an action plan for the sports meet and that officials also should participate in the events held after office hours in the evenings. He advocated that in sports all are equal and advised no need to conduct separate sports for officials.

 

He said the sports events be completed by March 14 and prize distribution be held on the same day. For TTD women employees he wanted some games to be held before March 8 and prize presentations made on March 8, on International Women's Day.

 

The participants for both individual and team events should register their names by 20th and the schedule of games should be announced ahead and last moment or spot registrations should not be entertained.

 

He also directed officials to prepare more grounds including the Parade grounds behind the TTD administrative buildings for sports events and to conduct more games during holidays.

 

The TTD EO said instead of cash prizes the winners should be given goods useful to them.

Float Festival Posters of Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple Released



Tirupati, 16 Feb. 21: The colourful posters of the Week long float festival of Sri Govindaraja Swami temple from February 20-26 was released by temple special grade DyEO Sri Rajendrudu on Tuesday.   

 

Every day in different alankaram Sri Govindarajaswami will ride on richly decorated floats in the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Pushkarini in the evenings between 6.30pm and 8.00 pm and bless the devotees.

 

Following is the schedule of alankarams and the number of rounds.

 

February 20:Sri Kodandarama Swamy-5 rounds.

February 21: Sri Parthasarathy Swamy-5 rounds

February 22: Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy-5 rounds

February 23: Sri Krishna Swamy along with Sri Andal Ammavaru-5 rounds 

February 24,25,26: Sri Govindaraja Swamy- 7 rounds

 

The artists of HDPP and the Annamacharya project will perform bhajans, Harikatha and sangeet programs at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Pushkarini during float festival days.

Kunda Chaturdi Observed with Religious Fervour









Tirupati, 15 February 2021:As part of it's promotion of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, TTD mulled month-long Magha Masa Puja.  

 

On Monday evening, Kunda Kusumarchana was observed with religious fervour in Dhyanaramam at Tirupati by SV Vedic University scholars on the auspicious day of Magha Chaturthi.

 

The unique feature about this fete is that the giant Shiva Linga was offered Abhishekam with jasmines. Explaining its significance the vedic pundits said that Kunda means Jasmines and as it's flowering commences in Magha Masam, Lord Shiva who is also worshipped as Rudra was offered floral bath with jasmines to appease Him to bestow His benign blessings and protect the humanity from calamities and diseases. 

 

The Vedic pandits chanting Rudra Trisati, chanting 300 divine names on the occasion. 

 

The event was live telecasted between 7pm and 8pm on SVBC for the sake of global devotees.

 

Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, SVVU VC Prof.Sannidhanam Sudarshana Sharma, vedic scholars were also present.
